Viña Carmen is now one of the most modem and prestigious wineries in Chile, creating wines that express the true character of the grapes and their region, and displaying the uniqueness of the fruit the soils and the climate. The winemaking team, headed by Maria Pilar del Gonzalez, shares a common passion for sustainable agriculture, and the Carmen Reserve wines include an increasing percentage of organically grown grapes.

Carmen's organic range goes from strength to strength, and the latest 2001 vintage Nativa Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay are probably the most obvious expression of the Viña Carmen approach. The fruit is sourced from Carmen's 25-hectare organic vineyard and only wild yeasts are used.

Elegant wine with intense aromas of red fruits, berries and a hint of spice, aged for 10 months in oak barriques. Medium-bodied with great complexity, good balance and soft tannins.
